Hello, Trevor
Hope you have as much fun here as you're having over on 24 hour campfire.
I checked out the Tract site. 2 of the things I looked for were the mounting tube length of the scopes, and the reticle subtensions. Didn't see them. Not asking about any specific scope, just looking.
I like the Bushnell 4500 and the Weaver Grand Slam. Is there a reason to choose a Tract over one of them?

Hi Haxby,

That thread has been a fun one, no doubt, lol.

I'll get you that info asap. We're still fine tuning the site. That's part of the reason I came on with Tract. get the info that anyone online wants and needs readily available. I'll post it here when it comes through.

You probably saw in the thread or possibly in the videos. Tract's objective is to get sportsman high quality Binoculars and Riflescopes at great prices. We're open about our business model for being direct to consumer. No middle man retailer nor distributor margin added in. That literally translates to better optics for less money. I worked in both retail and Ecomm...brick & mortar tack on minimum 40 points and ecomm tack on minimum 30 points...let alone if there is a MAP policy.

Thats the skin of it. The glass quality is simply fantastic. When you look through a Toric and then think again about what the price is, you're going to be blown away. I've got about 12 years in the outdoor industry, 5 of which at Opticsplanet and both product management and product development and what sold me on coming on board for Tract was looking through a Toric 10x42 that I was bring to South Africa for a plains game hunt.

There's a lot of great optics companies out there. We're lucky in that we came from companies that restricted what you can do because of money, and that's why we left. We wanted Tract to not have those limitations.

That 4500 and grandslam are nice scopes. The new grand slam as got a sexy look. What Tract can offer, is a few steps up in optical quality, better housings, better coatings, and still a sexy look (you see that gray finish? Its slick looking) for less money. We have a few tiers of products for different pricepoints. 2 of the features that I'm very proud of are the 4" constant eye relief and the eye box design that allows us to achieve a higher FOV per magnification ratio comparison.

I'll get that info to you asap and feel free to ask any questions or throw any comments or concerns my way. That's why I'm here.

Huh. A random comment on a forum, and a website changes somewhere else.
Still can't tell how thick those reticles are.
