a buddy just got his first firearm, a lovely MkII stainless bull barrel. Today's MkII triggers are even heavier than mine was when I bought it in '83.

Where should I send it for a trigger job?

I dunno' that you really need to send it out as I read of most everybody doing this upgrade themselves using a Volquartsen (manufacturer) kit. There's always somebody doing this or asking questions about how to do it over on the markii.org forum. Here's a tailored search response from their site looking for the word "Volquartsen" in titles across the entire site. This should get ya going...

I put a Volquartsen trigger in one of my MK II's and it made the trigger much lighter and smoother.

It depends upon what you're going to do with the gun. If it's just going to be a plinking or hunting gun, the Volquartsen kit by itself should be enough.

I used my MkII as a bullseye gun for years. I had the Volquartsen kit AND a trigger job. It made a hell of a difference.

The Volquartson trigger and a Magna-Port job are the next steps for my MKII. I plan to try it on unlimited silhouette...
