Hold off if you want one. It's a fine sight but they're coming out soon with a much better one that almost doubles the objective size. An Aimpoint Micro T1 is the current fan choice for cool sighting options.

I am not a cop, soldier, SWAT team member, operator and I really never even played Counter Strike so take this for what it is worth.

I personally don't like the tritium options because they will eventually need to be sent back to the factory at cost to replace the tritium after it is used up in 10 years or so.

With an Aimpoint you get around 40-50 thousand hours of ON time, can easily carry several extra batteries on the rifle and they have proven themselves hell for stout. Combine this with user controllable brightness settings and I think you have a better optic.

The biggest complaint I hear about and have witnessed with the Reflex is that it will wash out if you are shooting from shade into a bright area.

All that being said they certainly are NOT crap.

Good optics, no on/off switch to worry about or battery failure. The 10 year date is the half life, it will be half as bright at 10 years, a quarter as bright at 20, etc. Washing out in daylight is a complaint, but not one I've ever personally had even here in Texas. Usually it's the other way around that the suckers either not bright enough or too bright at night depending on the ambient light. Using a miniature glo-stick can solve the too little light problem.

If you prefer a triangle or chevron over the red dot I think they're a good option, though if you are willing to spend for a reflex, you can step up to a no-magnification ACOG for not much more.

Also do some looking on line you should be able to find one brand new from a place with a warranty for the same price.
