Anyone had any experience with Tripp Cobra Coat?

I know through experience that their hard chroming is nearly perfect -- but how's the Tripp polymer coat?

Thanks,
Rich

When I spoke with Mr. Tripp about it, he said that unless you just had to have a "dark" colored gun, go with hardchrome for better durability.
I'm sure the CobraCoat is good too, just not quite as durable.

I had a stainless Commander Cobra Coated. The wear on the polished surfaces was much faster then I expected. After I got some more work done to it, I went with Cobra Chrome the 2nd time. I should be getting the Commander back in the next week or so. :)

I have a feeling the Cobra Coat would have worked much better on a less slick surface than polished stainless.

Yes, I have some experience with the Cobra Coat. I have my Colt 1991A1 and Para P-13 done (receivers HC and slides Cobra coated). One word: FANTASTIC.... :D

Superb prices, 7-10 day turn around and Virgil Tripp is a gentleman....
