    Pre-War or Post-War?

With those close-ups of the falling brass should make it easy.

Knew I should have bought a copy of it when I had the chance.

Not to threadjack, but one of the amusing touches in the movie is that the guy with the Bren dons ear protection before walking into the room and opening up.

Wasn't it the girl who passed out in the corner who picked up the Bren and hosed down the room?

Yes. She was hidden on the couch and sneaks over and picks it up and starts blasting.

    I believe it was a Mk2. It was .303. Almost 100% it was not a Mk1 and definately not a .308 Mk4/L4

IIRC, it was .303. I remember seeing rimmed cartridges, so I'll go with pre-war.
