Ive been shopping all over for a .22 mag rifle...been to gander mountain, a couple walmarts, and a few local shops and im seeing TONS of .17 hmr's but very few .22 mag. Even online stores like able ammo and buds gun shop are out of stock on most of them.

Is the .22 mag slowly being "replaced" by the .17 hmr?

Not at my house! My .22mag is my favorite rifle right now! Try savage bolt action - several shops here stock them. (cabela's)
Good luck.

.22 WMR chambered rifles are a little bit scarce right now, since the .17 HMR is made on the same lines,
And with all 'Fad' rifles, everyone wants one right now...

Check with your local gun shop, since RUGER still has .22 WMR rifles in production, it shouldn't be hard to get one.
Personally, I like the lever gun Ruger version.
I know the bolt gun version is probably more accurate, but I just like the look of 'Cowboy' guns! (no matter who makes them!)

I see the Henry's all over the place here in Houston.

Fortunately I was able to get a pair, one in .22LR and the other in .22 Mag. great set up. They work good.
