Opened my new TRS 26 box and besides the scope There was a lens cloth in a little bag, and a tool.

After going on line and reading the instructions ( none are provided with the scope) I have yet to find wjat that tool is or how it is used.

There was also an Allen Wrench apparently for the mount.

I could find nothing on the scope that would seem to require the odd little tool.

What’s it for and how do you use it?????

Also not even a suggestion for lens covers never mind even a cheap rubber set like on the older TRS red dot.

Anybody making something?

I don't know what the tool is for. And I'm also quite chagrined at the lack of lens covers. To the point that I won't buy another TRS26 but I've bought two more TRS25's since. Anyone wanting longer battery life should buy the Sig Romeo 5. At least it's shake awake.

A search comes up with what Bushnell calls it's multi tool. The hex keys are for the mount screws. The body of the tool has flat edges which fit the horizontal and vertical adjustment turret slots. Seems strange to make a dedicated tool for what in prior years would have been a coin slot, cartridge rim, or screwdriver which has given way to larger gripping surfaces or permanently attached plastic handles.
