Thinking of updateing my Glock 19s sights to these. Whos got em, and how do ya like them?:)
 
I have a set of grn/grn Truglo TFO's on my G36, and I have to say, they are awesome. They are bright both in daylight and night, and my acccuracy has definitely improved with them over the stock Glock sights. I like them so much I'm going to have a set installed on my G19 next.
 
Got 'em on my G26. Big improvement over stock. Had Meprolites on my G17. Like the TFOs much better.

Truglo TFO sights only have a 90 day warranty the last time I looked. That was the reason that I chose Trijicon tritium sights with a 12 year warranty.

I went to the Truglo website a few minutes ago and could not find any warranty info about Truglo TFO's. Some of the online sellers listed the 90 day warranty in the product info though.

Only having a 90 day warranty says a lot about the long term durability of their product.

That's why I took a pass on Truglo TFO's.
 
There have been reports of the fiber optic portion of the sight slipping out. This is probably the source of the 90 day stuff. Just glue them back in and you're set to go.

However, that does raise some concerns. I have them on one of my Glock 19s. Pretty neat. I've got 2 more Glocks that need nightsights, but I think I'll go with either Trijicon or Meprolight. I have Meps on my other G19 as well as a majority of my other Glocks. Not quite as nice as the fiber optics, but I pick either of them up better than the factory plastic sights.

I'm also told that the hieght of these sights may be an issue. From what I've read, they clear the plastic (Kydex) holsters ok. Most of these have a sight rib molded into the holster. With leather, I've read about these sights gouging the inside of the holster and nice brownish slivers or specs obstructing the sights. I wouldn't expect this from the mass produced leather, but holsters made by custom makers may very well be boned too tight for these sights. Haven't tried my G19 with TFOs in my favorite IWB leather yet (Don Hume H715M clip-on if anybody is interested). Did try it in my Sidearmor IWB and no worries.
 
I have them on my Springfield XD-9 and like them a lot. However, for extreme duty use no fiber optic sight is going to be as tough as a Meprolight sight. It all depends on your usage.
 
Fun2Shoot, The tritium warranty is 10yrs, on the truglo sights. Everyone probably gets the radioactive material from the same place. The holster issues, might pose a problem, with such a long frt sight. Ameriglo Operator sights are probably what I'm gonna get. Thanks for all the insight, guys:)
 
Got 'em on my Sig. Heavy duty and very bright in a dark room. Not one problem of any kind, except their high price. :eek:

I've got a set. People tend to exaggerate their brightness compared to other brands of night sights, but they're good. The part that actually glows is much, much bigger as well, because of the fiber optics. They glow in almost any light, unlike normal night sights, where the little white dots can be almost invisible when you don't have light coming from behind you.
