If you read the gun magazines, you're left thinking that if you don't carry a 1911 or Glock 21 regularly, you might as well not carry. That said, I find it difficult to carry anything more than a small semi/revolver and more often than not find myself carrying a mouse gun. My question is what do people actually carry, not what they wish they could carry or what think they should carry! Thanks

I use to carry my mousegun almost religiously but now that I have my 442, I carry that more times than not

Kel-Tec P-11

I choose to, because it fits my daily activities.
I never had a problem CCW-ing a full size or Commander sized Bone Stock Colt, or K frame.

I do have access to 1911 and K frame, and others.

My personal pet 1911, K frame and J Frame were destroyed by tornado's this year. So were some other firearm related equipment, (holsters, mags, speed loaders, speed strips, ammo) and knives, including custom knives. These items in a off site location.
I was able to save one firearm, one with extreme sentimental value.

I do not worry about it, I dress around the gun, and just get on with it.

I carry either of these combinations:

Primary: Series 70 Colt 1911
Back-up: Colt Commander
Ammo: 4, extra 7-round magazines
Bug: P3AT

Primary: Glock 17
Back-up: G19C
Ammo: 4, extra 17-round magazines
Bug: P3AT

Compact or full size , depending on what I'm wearing. Any of these:

Full sized:
Glock 22
Kimber TLE

Compact:
Sig Sauer P229 (357Sig)
Sig Sauer P228
Glock 19
HK P2000 (9mm)

K-frame revolver listed under the "compact" option? Hmm. My Model 10s and 19s are about as big as my full-sized 1911s, and don't conceal nearly as well.

Anyway, primarily carry some sort of 1911, either 5" or Commander-sized, although I'm fond of my SIG 228 and occasionally pack only a J-frame.

Colt's Lightweight Commander .45 ACP., Kramer Pro-Line holster, extra magazine in a Milt Sparks pouch. Works for me.

My "always" gun is a Ruger LCP .380.

My "almost always" guns are either an SP101 or a Ruger P345.

Usually the LCP is in the pocket and one of the other two is either IWB at 4:00 or in the truck depending on dress/activities.

Since I dont have a ccw but can carry at home however I want I carry a S&W M&P 10 4inch barrel open carry.
If I had a semi-auto it would probably be a Glock 19 or 23 concealed.

I find that the 1911 is the platform that is the most comfortable for me. I carry iwb and can hide a fullsize easy in t shirt. My 4" with officer frame is my t shirt no print piece. Fullsize grip models will print a little and when no print whatsoever is required, on goes the glock 26. It is also my sweat friendly carry piece. Oh yeah, most days I also have my 442 in my pocket! 2 is 1 right :)

Most of the time I pocket carry a S&W 442 or 642. I also carry a Glock 26 IWB and a Ultra Kimber from time to time.

Carry

I carry what I love my SIG 229 SW40. I also at times carry a glock 22 in SW40 but that is a comfort zone thing. You carry for defense not looks or style so carry what works. Duty guns like the 92 are also good guns. I have big hands and the small guns are not comfortable. My department weapon is a Glock and so it feel it is best to go with what you know.

Although I do carry different guns at times, this Ruger P97 goes with me most days. It shoots where I point it, works every time and the .45ACP is a proven fight stopper.:)

I have this el cheapo folding knife that has a loose screw, but mostly it's there to weigh down my jeans. That way I can drop them in a hurry then make my escape amidst the ensuing laugh riot.

almost every day: Taurus ultra-lite in .38

every so often: Ruger p94 or springfield 1911

My CCF permit is still in processing, but I answered the poll based on what I carried off-duty when I was in LE, and on what I have ready to carry when this permit comes back.
Then: Walther PPK/S or Charter Arms Undercover .38
Soon: Charter Arms Undercover .38 or Bersa Thunder (.380). There may be times, in hot weather here in the Florida swamp, that a "mouse gun" might get dropped in a pocket instead, though.
