Trybe Defense Chassis Sale at Optics Planet

LoonWulf your pretty knowledgeable and I don't want to start a whole other thread for this. Any idea what kind of A.I C.S. magazine (or the like) I can get to fit 22-250?
I'm actually not sure. I know Ai'd long loaded 22-250s feed fine thru The Ruger and Magpul AICS magazines I've got, But I've never actually tried to feed a standard 22-250.

I asked Dell to check on it for me as he has non-AI 22-250 cases, So I'll see what he says.

Some of the other guys may have the answer for you before he ever gets back to me though lol.

Oh hey, on another note! OpticsPlanet didn't jerk me around on shipping this time. Ordered it last night. Shipped this morning.

The 22-250 is like a .308 Winchester in .223, right?

Should feed through regular .308 Winchester / 7mm-08 / 6.5 Creedmoor "Short Action" clipazines...

Don't quote me on this, but I was once contemplating getting a 22-250 barrel for my .308, and what I remember was that I didn't have to buy other new parts.

So just standard 308 AICS mag?
Yeah, hes got Ruger 3rnd AICS mags.

Only real concern is the case is shorter than the .308 family and More steeply tapered. Couple that with a relatively short COAL when varmint weight bullets are used and its possible......
I know before fire forming my .250 brass liked to come out of my Savage in wierd directions. Worked fine once they sides were blown out straight.

So..... pretty nice!

I don't have a lot of experience with chassis systems.
But my takeaways on this one or that it's well made, and comfortable.
All the components feel nice and sturdy, the trigger guard magazine release assembly are plastic, But having dropped it right out of the box and bounced it off of the thing I didn't see any issue...... Don't tell Dad I dropped his new stock......

The rear tube/ buttstock attachment is a little smaller than an AR tube and it looks like a proprietary attachment on the rear end of it..... Going to have to wait for Trybe to come out with more stocks if you don't like what's on there now

The cheek pieces just clip on like some of the aftermarket AR stocks have, But they're on there pretty well and there's no flex or movement to them.

Grip is standard AR Fair. Feels pretty good to me, But we may try some different options. See what Dad likes.

All in all not a bad buy at 300 bucks. Landed to Hawaii.

Very happy with mine.... With one complaint. Had to Dremel the inlet at the front of the trigger guard just barely to get my torque wrench in to reach the rear action screw.

Other that that, it's a solid chassis. M Lock cut outs and swivel stud on the forend will allow for easy bipod fitment. Definately worth $270 in my book.

Oh... @LoonWulf . I wound up ordering a Bergara 5rd AICS magazine. Should be here in a few days. We'll see how it functions.

So I went through and checked all of my AICS magazines, which really just amounts to the one bergara, two Ruger 3 rounders, and a Ruger 10. Rounder in 223.
On my stock they all fit, But if they're tight, you might check the flat on the polymer trigger housing/ magazine release assembly. Order the whole thing is in a little too far forwards..... Which at least on mine it looks like it'd be very hard to do.

I will check. Fitment is not tight, the magazine won't insert quite far enough to catch the mag release. Looks maybe 1mm too short.

Negative. I did order another brand that should be here in the next day or so
Work's been insane so I haven't gotten to look at the one I have in depth.

What I have generally experienced with magazines that absolutely refused to seat is that they're hitting the feed rails of the action before the latch catches.
Most of the time it's cuz the action sat too low in the stock or were too narrow for the magazines speed lips. The Savages though have a rather large hole in the bottom of the receiver, so I can't imagine that the magazines actually hitting the side of it, which makes me wonder if your magazine catch isn't just a slight bit too long...... Or if you just got a bad magazine....probably The simplest solution....

Actually, now that I thought about it, have you tried to see the magazine with the bolt retracted?

Yes sir. Tried it with bolt retracted, and removed. Still no luck. Every review I've read and watched said the Magpul Pmag AICS would fit. I'll have it by end of day, so we'll see. If that doesn't fit I know I have a problem somewhere.

Hopefully your new mag works for you!
I actually had dads gun out for anwhile yesterday (dont tell him.....) And im pretty happy with the chassis, tho i still prefer a more traditional stock.

**Update**
Magpul 10rd AICS works perfectly fine. @LoonWulf you need another Bergara magazine? Free to you if you do.
