Is this just Wolf with a different label? What do we all think of this ammo? Good for Glock range ammo?

I bought 4 boxes of Tula 7.62X54R from Cabelas. It shoots just fine and they only wanted 11.99 a box. I Haven't tried any other caliber but it's probably worth trying.

Tula makes some of Wolf's ammo, though I forget which. I believe they also make some of the Color Bear ammo, though I don't know which one for them, either.

Tula is Wolf. IIRC, Tula makes nearly all of the black box stuff, Uz... uh... Uzbeski or Urzbanov or something like that makes Military Classic, and Prvi Partizan makes Wolf Gold.

ha ha! no.when I first started using Wolf about fifteen years ago,it WAS pretty cruddy.oh,it all went ''bang'',but it seemed inconsistant from charge to charge, and kinda weak, overall.
times have changed,QC is vastly improved.Wolf is better than CCI Blazers, and about equivilant to Winchester White Box.It's still non reloadable, but then, so is Blazer.it is what it is...good,cheap ammo that's been vastly improved.it's still a bit under powered... at least in .45acp,but it's consistant from shot to shot [which shrinks group sizes] and that's probably on purpose so the don't blow up someone's antique and valuable Colt 1911.if you want special, powerfull ammo, you're going to have to pay for it,but if you want good servicable military ball ammo you can afford to shoot...you could do a LOT worse.

You are probably thinking of Ulyanovsk for Wolf MC.

That's the one! :D I can't keep Russian names straight.

-------

I have Wolf Black Box in .223 and it's abysmal.

Of what vintage? They started loading the .223 a little bit hotter, as of 2 or 3 years ago (maybe more?).
