Tumble Loaded Ammo ?

Never tumbled loaded rounds as I tumble them when empty and use a lube that doesn't have to be removed. Therefore, no need. I guess if I came across some very tarnished, loaded rounds I might try it, but honestly if they were that tarnished, I'd probably pass on shooting them at all.

This seems crazy to me but i might be wrong, i would like your guys thoughts on this one. I read that a guy that reloads rifle and handgun Ammo then Tumbles them after they are loaded . Is'nt that very dangerous ? Im sure you guys know the answer to this one , Thanks a bunch
Many people do it and I believe mostly in vibratory tumblers with Corn Cob or Walnut, Makes me a little nervous so I dont do it. If you are concerned about getting any lube off use a rag and your hands :)

Hey guys i cleaned up the 20 loaded 30/30 shells i have in my vibrator tumbler worked fine , thanks for all the great imput :)

Those who think it dangerous, think of how the military ships ammo all around the world. They use metal and wood boxes, no padding of any kind. It takes a hell of a beating and still functions. With our tumblers, it has a cushion to buffer the impact. So using our tumblers doesn't even come close to duce and a half transporting it just a short distance.

Probably one of the most asked questions to any reloading forum..
Yes, it is safe to tumble. Most loaders will not tumble loaded ammo for more than 4-5 hours--No added advantage to do so..
I have been told (No reason to doubt) that most of the top Mfgs. of factory ammo tumble their finished rounds...Bill.
