JUNE 19, 2005 AGC RANGE NEAR BALTIMORE, MD.

June 19, 2005 at the Associated Gun Clubs Range in Marriottsville, MD will be the site of the Tenth Cavalry Gun Club of Baltimore annual Juneteenth Invitational Shoot. This has been a very popular; fun filled event in the pro gun movement to get more non-shooters and skeptics of diverse ethnicities to the range. This year is going to be the best one we have ever had because we expect support from a couple of representatives from the industry to come. We provide beginning instruction, food and fellowship with members and pro-gun friends we haven't seen in awhile.

The name "Juneteenth" is an African American term and celebration of freedom. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was announced in January, several slave states continued in their sinful practices and the actual. Independence Day for these Americans arrived in late June a couple of years later. Help us celebrate "FREEDOM WITH A BANG". Only free men own guns, slaves cannot.

This is a call out for certified instructors to help manage, instruct, and guide our guest. If you volunteer, you will be appreciatively utilized as range safety officers, coaches, and trainers. I ask that you do not wear clothing, or side arms (if you are a t range safety officers, coaches, and trainers) that could negatively affect the warm and friendly environment we are trying to provide to the press, gun fearing, almost anti, government fearing, apathetic, general public that may be also in attendance. For example: Boonie hats, Uncle Mikes web gear and holster rigs, t-shirts with "Kill'em All And Let God Sort'em Out", etc. and Cammies don't help.

The Tenth Cavalry Gun Club is group I founded in 1992 to reach people of color and bring them into the gun rights struggle. The club has grown into a 501(c3) tax-exempt national organization that has surpassed my goals and has become the most diverse and integrated gun club I have ever witnessed. We are America. We are not without our enemies and detractors. Everyone doesn't want you to succeed even when on the same side. Our headquarters chapter in New Jersey for example that has had unprecedented success reaching, men, women and children of varied ethnic groups from NY, NJ and PA have been under attack from their host range in very trivial matters. Often imitated but never duplicated, the TCGC has chapters in NJ, Baltimore, NY, Washington, DC and Chicago.

We need your help this year. If you are able, willing to help the cause without applause, help a brother and sister out. Please contact Claudette Gadsden at [email protected] or 410-319-GUNS to sign up, get more info and support.

Thank you very much.

Now that is a worthy cause.

For once I wish I was closer to the east coast so I could help.

Surely there are THR members in your neighborhood that will volunteer.

Possibly lend a hand..............

Are you excepting instructors from outside Maryland? The wife and I are instructors and just might be interested in taking a trip and lending a hand.

What are the laws with "out of staters" bringing firearms into your state?

I would love to do this.

Too bad I'm 1260 miles away.

If the airline fairy would just leave me a round-trip ticket under my pillow.............Oh well.

Hey Kenn, does this mean I couldn't wear my "Black Man With a Gun" T-shirt? :D It's not often that I'll wear my LEAA golf shirt (I'm proud to be a Life Member, but the shirt seems a little too "wannabe," if you know what I mean), but that t-shirt baby, that makes a statement! :what:

I can't say for sure I could be there, but I won't rule it out either, as I do have some control over my travel schedule. I'll have to email you on this. All the best with this event, Paul

instructors

I should have said Maryland on my posting but that limits those that may have been nearby and wanted to come. There was a guy from PA that came down for the day a couple of years back that blessed us with his company. He's featured in one of the photos on the site, has a long white beard like someone from ZZ TOP, red shirt. Good guy.

If you think, you would like to join us, to help out --I can't say no. We are looking for more beginners this year so who knows what we'll need. Hillbilly I wish I could pay your way. That's my biggest beef with the "THEY"
They fund so much worthless stuff and the stuff that works is left to scrap for funds.

Thanks in advance brothers and sisters.

Kenn

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Kenn.

Is this event an annual happening?

I could always give plasma and collect aluminum cans, etc, and save up for a trip out there next year.

Who knows? Maybe divine intervention will provide me with the funds for this year? I'll pray about it.

BMWAG ....... I am completing the last of all my Instructor disciplines this coming Saturday ... but I doubt I'll have all the paperwork thru from NRA in time ... to be ''official''. I would like to help if possible ..... but just cannot say right now .. plus i think that might be a ''bad'' weekend with regard to other commitments.

I'll keep an eye on things tho re your posts if i can .. just may not be a winner because of the timeframe. I do tho like to help where possible ... the prime reason I have gone for certification.

Kenn,

As I said last year, I would more than happy to help in any capacity. I'll try to clear a few days from my calender today and confirm.

Pencil me in!
