One of my neighbors is moving to FL. They are getting on in age and none of the Kids wanted Great Grandpas rifles.
I have known these folks for five years and they know my affinity for firearms. This was the first time I made an offer for guns where they refused my initial offer because it was too high!! I offered twenty five dollars less and they caved.

I also received 100 rounds of 22LR and a 12 pack of Yuengling. I haven't dated the two exactly yet
But they are roughly vintage mid 1930s.

Remington Model 33 bolt action single shot.

Winchester Model 63 Semiauto. Blowback operation.

These two rifles spent their early lives earning a living hunting rabbits and squirrels in East Tennessee. They carry their minor scars of two generations of use with elegant grace.

$150 for the pair.

The Winchester is designed for easy breakdown for compact carry.

Both for $150? You suck! lol. Congrats.

I don't know much about the bolt rifle, but I have a Model 63...

The Model 63 was made from the early-1930's through about 1958... it was designed around the then-new .22 rimfire smokeless cartridge. Where and when the "LR/long rifle" designation came into play I do not know.

My 63 was made in a later production run by Miroku? for Winchester sometime in the 1990's. I paid $700 for it, mint, with the box and paper. I shoot it.

All I have handy is a cellphone pic of it parked behind my '94.

Again, congrats!

That was such a nice thing you did, taking those unwanted items, and even offering money for them. Such kindness is rarely seen anymore.

Always liked the simple basic shape of that model Winchester, nice score.

200,

Nice Coleman collection. I collect their liquid fuel stuff....Matter of fact, I keep a nickel tanked lantern on my gun safe for display.

That's just the kind of guy I am!

Glad you were ready to "adopt" those little rifles. They needed a good home.

Sounds like a right place, right time kind of thing to me. :D

^ ^ ^ Good question!

DAdams, thank you for the compliment. :)

ColtPE, nice of you to say so. Which model lantern might that one be?

*thumbsup* to all of you.
