Usually one is excited by a couple of new guns...but these are bittersweet.

    Model 10 (1957-1959)
outstanding trigger for a "base" model. She has been loved a lot but is very sweet.

and this old girl is very sweet. Can't wait to shoot her.
(yes, I know what little blue is left is faded. But she was reasonably priced.
(1953) And finish don't make the bullets fly any faster or any straighter)

    Why bittersweet?

    Both are gifts.

I might not get to play with either one : (

    RC,

Sorry amigo, the recipients are already chosen :(

The model 10 is for a friend that is unarmed and is learning to shoot.

The K22 is a Christmas gift for my daughter.

    Maybe next time
    :)

Nice! I love older model 10's/M&P's but sadly do not own one. I want a 2" snub with the half moon front sight.

A tip of the old Stetson to ya. Two new shooters coming into the fold and well armed to boot.

Craig, the 1/2 moon sight is the easiest to pick up. Plus looks the coolest.

My 3rd model Hand Ejector has one. Love it.

    Iggy,

The Model 10 is for personal protection.

The K22 is my daughter who loves mine for target shooting. Now if I can just get her into squirrel hunting, she will be ready!!!

Congrats on your purchases. There is a lot history there if they could talk.

Nice honest wear on two beautiful weapons.

Gifts? Hmm.... The sweet life of G's fave five.
Dang, even the gifts are bigger in Texas.:D

Kind of you to say Skidder.

But giving a gun-lover a gun that they love is an act of selfishness.

"The excellence of a gift lies in its appropriateness rather than in its value."
    Charles Dudley Warner

Once a buddy did a huge favor for me. Saved me over 800 bucks on a real estate loan (was probably 1500). I gave him a pristine 72 Detective Special.

The way he acted you would think that I was the generous one.

    Such is not the case.
