My friends two sisters are now shooters! (one even plans to buy a gun soon!)

because of strange circumstances, I wsn't able to have christmas dinner with my family, and my GF was working... so my friends invited me over to their place for Christmas dinner...

I'm friends with the whole family... their son, though younger, is a good friend and my hunting buddy... if it moves and has a season, we shoot or fish for it...

their Dad owns the farm we hunt at, and I help out there sometings... their mom treats me as if I was one of her own...

the two daughters are NOT farm girls... one is a traveling nurse, (and really good egg... the other is a LAwyer in Las Vegas. (we're all from Northern Michigan) Both are yuppies and basically left wing liberals...

the Lawyer (Theresa) is thinking about getting a gun for protection, and George (my hunting buddy) sugguested I could help... I said sure... (Theresa has been to the range once, and shot a few rented semi-auto's)

Next thing, we awer eall at my place, (the nurse "Veronica" included, though she didn't want to shoot...)
we started with my .22 pistols, and worked up... by the time Theresa was working with my .38 SNubbie, Veronica was curious, and her brother had her shooting my .22 revolver in no time...

about 500 rounds expended in 7 handguns, ranging from .22 to .40 S&W (I didn't think she needed the .45, .44, or bigger)

she REALLY liked the Smith & Wesson 637-2 in .38 SPL+P, and I think she is really leaning twards a J-frame smith... (pretty darned reliable and foolproof, if you need a good concealable defensive weapon, to my way of thinking)

Veronica, who DIDN'T want to shoot, said she loved it, and wants to shoot again soon...

All in all, a good way to spend Christmas afternoon... with friends, shooting guns, and taking one very inexperienced and one totally NEW shooter, and making them into shooters...

Rangerruck - strange, my real name IS Tim!

though at 6'-3", 280#, "Tiny" doesn't fit real well...

New Safe Shooters are always a good thing!!

You did well bringing them along slowly so that they enjoyed the experience and would like to shoot again.
