Hello the camp!

I acquired a little revolver from an uncle's estate a number of years ago. It's a top break five-shot .32, blued with hard rubber grips, and the only marking I can find is a "US" molded into the grips.

The problem is, it's in pieces, and I'm hoping someone here will be able to show a drawing that'll explain how it goes together. (There are a few bits, like springs, the purpose or fitting of which is not particularly obvious.)

Also, it's missing the large screw the frame & barrel hinge on. It may also be missing other parts, I suppose.

If you can help, thank you! (If you can't, well, have a nice day anyway.)

If you can figure out what model it is Numrich has exploded view drawings of allot of old guns that might help you get it reassembled and they might have the missing parts you need too.

Thank you all so far! I will post a pic when I get a chance to fiddle with the camera some more. Meanwhile, BBBBill, your first pic (the one hosted on Amazon) looks very promising, except that mine (my uncle's I mean) isn't hammerless. Part #14 in that pic is on the money!

At first glance, the trigger is missing. Screws and such are much easier to acquire/fabricate than the trigger. Now I will dive into the archives to do some searching.....

Geez, I didn't even notice the trigger's missing! But having learned that "US Revolver" was just a trade name for Iver Johnson, and happily finding that gunpartscorp (Numrich, that is) has lotsa IJ bits, I've already ordered the hammer and frame hinge screws and the top latch screw. A few of these are only available with nickel finish (and mine is, or was, blued) but I'll worry about the finish later.

Looks like a very interesting winter project. I'm not familiar with that type of revolver but it seems that some of those parts should be held in place by pins of some sort. I'm looking forward to see how this turns out.

This is a little bit rambling and disjointed but hopefully helpful...

From the picture I am pretty sure your right that it is US Revolver Company revolver which in reality was made by Iver Johnson’s Arms & Cycle Works for one of the old big box stores.

Numrich has a page specific to those US Revolver Company revolvers in addition to the Iver and Johnson parts:
https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/iver-johnson/revolvers-ij/us-revolver

Unfortunately there is no drawing for that specific model on Numrich but the parts are very similar to the Iver Johnson Safety Automatic revolver and that schematic is on numrich's website and might be mildly helpful.

Unfortunately the 32 and the 38 parts are intermixed so is might take a while to sort through them.

This video might also be helpful as its a full disassembly and assembly of the Iver Johnson 32 Top Break.

Again not the exact revolver you have but a very similar model made by the same manufacture.

Finally I would suggest asking for more information over at the firearms forum in the Ask the Pro's sub-form. I picked up a Iver and Johnson Safety Automatic in 38 S&W a few years ago and there are several members there that are very knowledgeable about these revolver and can probably help you get yours back together.
