My impression is that because these are miniaturized versions of the bigger Colt models they require more precision. Smaller changes in tolerances may have much more effect on the function (less wiggle room for errors) of these smaller revolvers than they would on the larger models.

I have the wells fargo with the kirst 22 conver. I have at least 1500 rounds with no problem at all , love it

I also have the wells fargo with a 22 conversion and have over 2000 at least through it no problems at all

I have 2 of the uberti wells fargos 1 with kirst 22 cal conversion the other with the 31 conversion, both shoot great ,the 22 con. shoots very accurate

There is also the factor that nowadays, people think nothing of loading up conversion ammo with smokeless ammo where 10 years ago that would have sicced the Black Powder Po-lice on ya...using the justification that "as long as you stay within black powder pressures..." which ain't necessarily so! Even if you keep MV below, say, 750fps, the pressure spikes and resulting bell curves are very different from smokeless and black powder cartridges producing nearly the same MV. And on smaller, thinner-framed pocket guns, it might be enough to make a difference, even if the cylinder itself is up to the task.
