Ugly 642

Bought this thing today off an older gentleman. I wanted a backup gun and no frills revolver. I was going to get taurus 85 as I had good luck with one prior but this one fell into my lap and American made even for a worn finish Trump's anything made anywhere else. Hope to change out the grips with some boots Altamonts and get a good pocket or ankle holster.

They do make great carry pieces, but........did you double check for frame cracks under the barrel.

Looks like you made a good choice. On my S&W snubbies I like either the factory wood grips with a Tyler T-Grip adapter (S&W MOdel 649), or else the factory boot grips which came with the gun (Model 638). For an IWB holster I like the DeSantis SOF-TUCK; have one of their Nemesis pocket holsters for pocket carry.

BK grips allows online ordering. That's all I use nowadays. Not aluminum, though.

I liked what I saw but it seems Ruger is not on this list, I'll keep these guys in mind for the 642
