I was putting some stuff away from my hunting trip and when I grabbed the bolt for my Savage model 11, the firing pin tripped.

Now I can't get the cocking piece pin back into the other position. Also, I can't get the bolt all the way back into the gun since the cocking piece is fully forward.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Edge of a table top works for me. Put your weight behind it to re-cock the spring.
