UMC or Remington

I'm getting all my 22-250 brass together to start reloading, and I noticed something odd...for me at least. I had bought a bunch of el cheapo UMC rounds and just now noticed the headstamp on the once fired cases is "R - P 22-250 REM"...just like on my brand new unfired Remington cases. What's up, or am I missing something? If the UMC cases ARE Remington cases, are they the same quality?...

UMC is Union Metallic Cartridge which equals Remington. Older brass will be marked REM-UMC. Same stuff no matter which markings and the same quality.
