Annan, ElBaradei Plan to Ambush Bush

Is it any coincidence that Mohamed ElBaradei is set to address the U.N. on Monday – the day before the U.S. election?

Probably not.

For some time, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan has been seething over the Bush administration's decision to go to war with Iraq – despite the fact that Saddam Hussein flouted U.N. resolutions for over a decade.

On Monday, ElBaradei, who heads the U.N.'s nuclear weapons control agency, the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), will be given the forum of the U.N.'s General Assembly to present his annual report.

No doubt he will reinforce claims that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction program.

Already, ElBaradei has butted into U.S. politics by having his spokesman speak twice this past week to CNN and the AP about the Al-Qaqaa explosives story.

An administration source tells NewsMax that "it is very likely that ElBaradei will not be able to resist making comments about U.S. responsibility for the missing explosives the day before the election."

Our source also expects ElBaradei to follow his speech with an impromptu press conference and offer some hostile remarks about the Bush administration.

Most Democrats worship the UN. Any unaccountable, power hungary, totalitarian organization is just fine. They were going to vote for Kerry anyway.

Most Republicans loathe the UN. Any organization dominated by thug dictators and elitist Marxists is just terrible. They won't vote for Kerry. The question is if they will help hand us socialism and UN control by protest voting for a third party.

It's going to take something VERY major to swing any voters at this stage in this election. The only thing that we can really do now is try to get our people out to vote and get the other guys to stay at home and watch it on TV. Hence my "voting is for losers" campaign with all the liberals I know.

I agree that at this point all the candidates are doing is working to get the "Decideds" out to actually vote.

Here's the link to the IAEA with further information on what's going on with IAEA and the missing explosives. http://www.iaea.org/NewsCenter/Focus/IaeaIraq/ The short form is that the Iraqi government informed the IAEA on Oct. 10 that the material was missing. They were obligated to inform the IAEA if any material was found or was found to be missing and they did. The IAEA was going to "keep it quiet" until an attempt to find the explosives was made, but when the news leaked out of Iraq a letter was sent up the chain to the security council (which the US is a permanent member of) reporting the materials missing.

So that everyone understands, the IAEA is one of the few UN organizations that the US has always actively supported. Many prominent American scientists and political appointees chair the various committes. I worked with the chairman of the IAEA Dosimetry organisation and he was as rock-ribbed a Republican as any of you would like to meet. The IAEA with US technical and financial support actively works to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the means to produce them. This is part of the defence of this country.

I'm going to wash my car in support of Bush.

The theory (or numb-skulled brain spasm) goes like this. If I wash my car today, it'll rain tomorrow. The percentage of Republicans going to the polls does not change, rain or shine. Democrats can't get the big numbers to leave their home if the weather's bad. So, my clean car helps Bush.

It's a wash, anyway. I'll vote Bush and my wife will vote Kerry. We're pretty much in agreement on issues, but differing priorities.

For years I've been hoping for an early snowstorm in WI on election day. Seems like it only happens in the odd-numbered years, though.

My wife's sister, her husband, and I have been working on her to vote tomorrow and vote for Bush. I know she can't stand Kerry, thinks he's a phoney, and doesn't have much use for BreckBoy. She won't tell me how she's going to vote, but I think it's pretty clear.

As for the UN, let Donald Trump buy the building, send the UN diplomats and their heavily-armed guards back to whatever cesspool they crawled out from. I'm sick of the US having to go begging to them for permission to do what's necessary, and then get stabbed in the back. And I'm sick of our troops being used for UN missions that aren't in our own interests.
