    So do we. That's a change, too. But it is prudent.

    Absolutely.
    I live in the country and only few neighbors. I am over the top about not showing any reason to think I would be an easy target. I have a dumpster emptied once a week. The trash man can find out more info about you in 2 minutes than any of us want them to know.
    New gun boxes, TV boxes, anything that shows value or is desirable gets cut up, put in black plastic trash bags and taken to the dumpster at work with no personal mail or other identifying info in the bags. Even my trash from reloading goes in unmarked bags to work. I work for a large construction company with a lot of job debris loaded into the dumpsters on a daily basis. There would be no way to trace any of it back to me.

    That is very meticulous way of disposing the evidence of anything valuable that may have bought.

    On the flip side what should you deliberately leave in the trash?
