Its infotainment. Not news anymore. About the only person you can trust on television is the often made fun of "weather girl"...and there the trust is strictly integrity 'cause who can predict the weather right?
Even if the particular outlet has no actual intent to deceive you, they certainly have the intent to sell advertising and thus are slaves to their economic necessity. For whatever reason, gun owners and the pro 2nd amendment crown (us) must not be a target group for their advertisers.
And now for the real show. Don't for a minute thing FOX is any different. Sure, they seem to think that the type of folks that are pro 2nd amendment are in fact part of their target audience...so that's good. But I trust them just as little as the others on anything because they live and die by rating because ratings drive the price they can charge for ads which is the one and only thing that puts any money on the bottom line.
The only thing worse than State run media seems to be private media!
I do not, however, in opposition to most of our members, think this is some sort of liberal vs conservative thing. If the media in general (other than FOX) thought a pro 2nd amendment editorial stance would be good for their bottom line they'd be crawling the words of the second amendment across the bottom of their screens every night, right after the 1st amendment.
