I was just looking at the Midway website and looking at all the different brands and types of 22 rimfire ammo. Quite a variety! I have tried most of the brands they list. There two that I have not tried, they are Fiocchi and Lapua.

Has anyone here tried these two brands of rimfire ammo?

How did they perform?

Some of the Lapua is world class great and Fiocchi is very good. Have not tired all of the different ones. As always, most rimfire rifles tend to have a preference for ammunition, but as a rule, the higher the price the more consistantly it will shoot and hence be more accurate.

I've shot the Lapua with great results. No exposure to the Fiochhi rimfire stuff though. Their CF stuff is GTG with me.

Lapua is supposed to be up there with Ely and other match-grade .22LR ammunition. Pricing reflects that accuracy "goal". I've used two varieties of their .22LR product, no complaints.

.22LR ammunition accuracy in a particular firearm is whimsical, the ideal situation is to sample a product, and if it works out, purchase more of the same lot number if you want the best outcome.
