Upgrades?

HI all,
I have an Ultra Compact Springfield in .45 Caliber. I've put less than a thousand rounds thru it over the years, and have had maybe 20 or so jams over that time.
I'm wanting to make it a carry gun for SD, and I want it to be as reliable as it can possibly be. I use Chip McCormick mags but other than that it is what came out of the box.
So how about it Gun Guru's? What are your upgrade Reco's for an ultimately reliable Pistola, and why?

What kind of jams have you had? Stovepipe? Or what? Knowing that would help. My Springfield has had every kind of jam imaginable, including the one where the gun goes to Tralfamadore via the Synchronistic Infandibulum, so it needed a lot of very different kinds of attention.

Mostly stovepipes, once in awhile a doublefeed. Maybe even one of those Tralfamodre thingys you talked about.
