Can you or is it possible to upgrade a Ruger Mark 4 model 4105. I am looking to get a standard Mark 4 with a 6-inch barrel and was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the sights and grips on that pistol

Absolutely. The Ruger Mark series has always had a huge aftermarket following.
The Mk4 is pretty new and has different controls than previous ones so they won't have as many grips available yet, but I'm sure the usual makers are picking up quickly.
Not sure about the sights yet, but the Mk3 could often use the same stuff as the Mk2, which had a massive selection. If they're different now, there will be options already and more coming. If they didn't change that, then anything your heart may desire will be available.

I will say, I personally feel the Mk IV is a half baked design.

Other than the safety recalls, there have been problems with barrel wobble tolerances opening up after even moderate shooting, broken firing pins peening chambers (new fragile design), extractor issues, and several other problems on this new design. On rimfirecentral.com, there are lots of complaints.

Just saying. Many agree that Ruger didn't properly test the pistols before release. If you do get one, just be aware of these teething issues.

What about the mark 3?

I never like to buy anything that is introduced into the market the first year it comes out. As much as the temptation to buy is stronger , I am always glad that I have waited until the kinks have been worked out and they are done with the callbacks. I waited almost 6 years to finally get my Kel-tec pmr 30. I am glad I did.
