upper receiver questions

I just finished an AR project, and had a question come to mind:

What caliber options do I have using the standard 5.56 lower receiver?

Anyone have experience with these other calibers?



Also, I purchased my lower through Colemantyler.com. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this company.

I had originally ordered a tan colored buttstock and pistol grip. An associate from the company called before my order shipped to inform me that the two tans did not match. He also brought to my attention that the extended safety lever would not fit with my chosen grip. He sent me the standard safety lever in addition to the one I purchased.

there are MANY more possibitys. if it will fit in a AR's mag well (and in some cases, even if it dosen't) it can be made to fire.
