I actually got to shoot an AUG earlier in the year, but it wasn't the US made version. I was surprised at how good the trigger was even without the consideration of it being a bullpup, and then the owner pulled the trigger group out of the rifle and showed it to me and told me about how he had changed it somehow.

Both US AUG companies, MSAR and TPD have been experiencing some irksome and unforeseeable delays, broken machinery, late subcontractors etc., in getting their products shipped. I don't know if anyone but the development teams have shot one yet.

There is a very long and somewhat painful thread to read over on ar15.com about the MSAR rifles. Apparently it was supposed to ship two Fridays ago but was recalled right after it was shipped. During a quality control firing test the jacket that goes around the bolt broke and was found to not have been heat-treated correctly. MSAR is supposed to be fixing this problem and then start shipping rifles in the next few days. Here is the thread.
