I'm 100% in support of this. Where else could I possibly trade in four Mosin Nagants and get enough money for a SCAR in exchange?

Link doesn't work, it just goes to the main page, and I don't see anything about that there.

The fine print on that one said that the guns had to be illegal and unregistered in Illinois to get those prices.
    It was in Chicago.

Not many of us are gonna fit those criteria :)

The infowars site says that it happened on Feb 15 (and only in Chicago), so it looks like we're too late.

If I drive up there with my guns, they would fit the criteria. 10 guns would make the trip profitable. Joe

Splash a bit of urine, srinks and maybe a bad brand of cigerette and stumble in with a armful of guns in bad clothing out of the mission down the street preferably something that itches and made of wool.

Clean up and fly back home. I guess I wont get away with it becuase the serials will all follow back to me *Grin

I really wish people would read THEN post.

This was a bulletin board comment and idea by some Joe Schmo Nobody (actually I believe this is the same Bryan Garcia who is a pastry chef and ice sculptor in Chicago) who thinks this would be a good idea. His actual words (his capitalization, not mine)

WE NEED TO RAISE 1.5 MILLION DOLLARS JUST FOR THE GUNS ALONE, AND EXTRA MONEY FOR ADMINISTRATION AND EXPENSES ON THE EVENT DAY. VOLUNTEER POLICE OFFICERS AND SAFETY OFFICERS WILL BE IN CHARGE OF THE GUNS AFTER THE GUN BUY BACK EVENT, UNTIL THE GUNS CAN BE MELTED DOWN AND TURNED INTO A SCULPTURE

This is a single individuals personal idea neither acknowledged, endorsed or rejected by the scary government.

+ 1 for the OP's reading comprehension fail.

And on another note: As a future pastry chef, let me be the first to apologize for Mr. Garcia's attempts, however well-intentioned he thought they may be. We're not all hoplophobes. :)

For crying out loud, READ THE ARTICLES BEFORE YOU POST. If you had read the info at the sites posted, or even a few of the replies on this very thread, you'd know that this has nothing to do with Obama, besides the fact that someone tacked his name onto it. This proposed action is the brainchild of a private citizen.

You know, this kind of thing is why people look at us like reactionary lunatics. If more of us were as willing and eager to actually do some research on the things we're so incensed and furious about as we are to be incensed and furious abou them, we might just find out that the people we're ready to lynch from the nearest tree had absolutely nothing to do with the situation in the first place!

Seriously. Two seconds. Do some research.
