used handguns CDNN

I am in the market for some pistols. A revolver and maybe another semi auto.

I received the CDNN cataolog and they have all kinds of sales.
Would it be safe to presume that its would be a solid, safe, purchase on their used guns. Its sight unseen.
Has anyone else bought used from them?

The 3" S&W Model 65 I just took off of my hip came from CDNN. It needed a trivial amount of work and was well worth what I payed for it. The same gun around here would have run nearly $100 more.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from CDNN again.

i bought a Model 65 LE trade in last year for $269 from them..... Other than a good cleaning and changing out the grips its been good to go.

Other than a little timing tune-up, mine needed a new strain screw because the cop who had it before I did, thought it would be smart to shorten the strain screw. My smith and I couldn't figure out what was wrong, since it was getting light hits with the screw all the way in. Then I remembered hearing about people cutting the screw off so that it could be screwed all the way in, but still act as though it were backed off. He'd heard of the same thing, but it never occurred to him that a cop or armorer would do that to a gun that somebody's life depended on. He replaced the strain screw and now it's 100%.

Generally Good, but "Used" means "Used."

Well, as they say, your results may vary.

CDNN has a great reputation for selling used firearms that are accurately described, so if it says "Very Good" or "Excellent" that's what it means.

It doesn't mean it's impossible to get one that was a "lemon" when it left the factory OR one that's been fouled up by the previous owner but still looks good.
Just like buying a used car - used means, well, "used." CDNN can't guarantee what the previous user did. I've bought from them before and I'd do it again. They're responsible sellers with plenty of satisfied customers, myself included.

I've bought several handguns from CDNN. Only one was graded higher than I thought it should have been. They offered to exchange it when I mentioned it on my next order but it wasn't worth the effort.

If you go over to the HKPro forum, you'll literally find hundreds of us who have bought some kind of HK from CDNN. Most of us use Marshall - good guy. They have the best prices on new HKs around, and have some nice used handguns as well. (LOTS of P7s bought from there.)

I just bought 3 more high-cap mags (Obama is coming - Argh!) for my HK USP45 for $39.99 each. Most places charge around $50. This weekend, they have a special for $5 shipping for any orders over $100.

The only bad things I can say about CDNN:

1> Once you begin receiving their catalogs it's kind of like a crack addiction.....you can't stop yourself from buying stuff!

2>I live in Texas so I have to pay sales tax.

In 18 years of buying products and firearms from them I have never had an issue.

I just received three P220 mags in my first order from CDNN, and am looking forward to using them. I downloaded their catalog, so I know what is currently available. But if they took in another batch of S&W Model 65s, e.g., in trade before the next catalog comes out, how would a prospective buyer know about it (as opposed to the "real time" aspect of gunbroker.com and others)?
