Hey guys I might be able to pick up a few guns cheap and wondered if you had any advice for me on what might be a good deal.

Glock 30 - I don't know the gen yet, whats the rough used value of them? Are these convertable to 10mm?

    Iver Johnson 55-SA cadet .38

    titan .25 (looks like junk)

    erma-werner .22 semi auto

    amt .45

    colt m1991a1

    Mak 90 sporter

Winchester mod 94 AE 44 rem magnum

    winchester 1200

Any of these I should be on the look out for as a sweet deal? I'm thinking of the mak 90 at 200 or less and the g30 at 300 or less.

Condition, accessories, do they come with original papers/boxes/etc? We're gonna need more info here.

No clue, estate thing, I won't get to see them until tomorrow. Assume average used condition. Really more than anything I'm looking for "ohhh thats kind of a rare neat piece, grab it." I'm not familiar with the erma warner and don't really know much about the mod 94 either. As far as I know the mak 90 is just another ak clone and not worth much more than the current century stuff...

If you're looking to see if something has a particular demand you might want to look at gunbroker to look for trends.

If you're looking for "ooh, might be rare, grab it"

My advice would be as follows -

Glock 30 - Skip it, they're plentiful and easily found.

Iver Johnson 55-SA cadet .38 - Not sure, might be worth having a look at.

Titan .25 -Skip it. Junk, and also fairly common.

Erma-Werner - Not sure, might be worth a look

AMT .45 - Have a look at it. I would.

Colt m1991a1 - Def. have a look at.

Mak 90 sporter - Skip it. AK variant, fairly common.

Winchester mod 94 AE 44 rem magnum - Not sure. I'd skip it but others might say differently.

Winchester 1200 - I'd skip it, but have a look.

You cant go wrong with a used 870 Wingmaster. They are already broken in(usually) and they last forever.:)

Deerhunter - It seems that Soybomb is asking about the specific guns on the list he posted. I agree with ya, an 870 is a fine choice but it's not on the list. ;)

I don't see a Remington 870 listed. Did I miss an edit or something ?
The guns I would pay special attention to would be :
Colt 1991-A1 - less than $500 would be a good deal
Winchester 94 - prices have gone way up since they quit making them.
less than $350 would be a good price. If it's a special variation could be
worth twice that. I ran into a guy with the 1894-1994 version at a
gunshow last weekend and he wanted $650. This was just a guy walking around , not a dealer.
Glock 30 - if you can get it for $300, you stole it.
    Just my humble opinion.

The "Iver Johnson 55-SA cadet .38" sounds like the 5 shot IJ I just gave away. It's .38 S&W, not .38 SPCL. It's slow to load and unload and worth $40-50 for stocking a fishing tackle box to dispatch crabs.

Illl double up on the erma and the amt. those could be huge, especially the amt, just read an article on the amt 45, could be worth a bundle.

    Glock-Enough said on previous posts
    Iver Johnson 55A Cadet-Could be a .22, .22WMR, .32 S&W, .38 S&W, or .38Spl. Whatever, not worth over $100 (at best)
Titan- Junk (gun buy back program stuff)
Erma Werke-They made 5 different models ranging in value from a low of approx. $200 to a high of approx $1500. Need to know what you're doing here.
    AMT .45- they make 3 or 4 models, sort of lower-end .45s.
Colt 1911A1-You are wide open there!
MAK 90- again already covered, very common.
Winchester 94 AE .44 Rem. Mag.-Like the other guys said, that market is crazy! I saw one locally 2 wks. ago for $300, but most fetch $4-700.
Winchester 1200- Just another pump. Should be valued right along with the 870s.
You could come out with several nice guns, but beware of those junkers.:D
