Useless ammo?

I've got a box full of ammo for guns i don't own... you never know what you might run across on the shelf in a gunshop, and not have ammo for.

Useless Ammo

I have a bunch of Ammo, that I don't have Firearms for. I pick up a lot of it at Yard Sales, Auctions etc. My latest: 2-50 Round boxes of .45 acp, I don't have a 45, 1 Box of .223, I don't have a Rifle in this category, and 2 Boxes of 16GA, don't have a 16 Ga either. I probably have close to 500 Rds of ammo that I don't have a gun to match.

Vice Versa

I have a 30/30 rifle that I just got from my Dad. I haven't shot it since I was a young teenager. I don't hunt or have a way to lock it up :banghead: (yet). So I don't have any ammo for it.

Maybe you could send me some of your "useless ammo" and I could shoot it with my currently "useless rifle".;)

not only do i have ammo for guns i dont have. i have bayonets for guns i dont own!

When I was a kid we would but shotgun shells that were on clearance at the local shops. We did not have shotguns. We would then embed them in the side of the creek (powder side out) and try to ignite them with .22 rifle fire.

Somewhere I have a partial box of .38S&W. I have a revolver for it, but it's an ancient Iver Johnson and has a broken part that I can't find a replacement for, and which I have decided is in too poor condition to bother trying to return to full function. So while technically I guess I have the gun for it, I see no use for this partial box...it's sitting way in back of the safe and I'd have to clean out the shelf to find it.:uhoh:

no i don't do that but it is a good idea now that i think about it. you never know when you might pick something up on impulse, or better yet be at the range and someone lets you shoot one of there guns, and you got you own ammo. neat idea, i like it!
