I was given several hundred rounds of .40 that had been previously loaded.
I certainly don't want to shoot them but I don't want the primed cases to go to waste.
They were loaded with new Winchester small primers.

Can I simply resuse the primed cases? All of the brass is unfired and slips into a case gage.
They were recently loaded but I don't want to trust the load, especially in this caliber.

I can't see a reason why you couldn't...use a bullet puller, your dies will size the cases afterward, and off you go...

You can: use the brass and the primers (for practice loads) if you trust the primers are as you say (new Winchester small whatever) by removing the decapping pin/stem from the resizing die and simply resize and proceed; or you can remove the primers as if fired (during resizing) and proceed. You need to resize and bell (if pistol cases) to insure a proper bullet seating and grip.

    I guess I wasn't real clear.
I want to reuse the brass and keep it primed.

Jfdavis gave you the answer, take the decapping pin out of your sizing die and size them, bell them and load em up.
