Has anyone here used cast lead bullets in a SEMI-auto 308 rifle?
I understand that it isn't recommended for a gas-operated rifle, but
since my PTR 91F is NOT gas operated, it should not be an issue.

Any info you guys could share would be appreciated!

trb take a trip over to castboolits and they will set you straight about cast in semi-auto gas guns , basically it's good to go. I've been doing a few in the AK and haven't had a problem

Thanks Angus. Here's what a good friend of mine just said...

Have had no problem with CETME, that things spits everything out I can feed it!!!!!!!! even did a 205 gr soft point, with 45 grains of IMR4198, not a problem with it

i shoot cast bullets exclusively; haven't fired a jacketed bullet in years. i have an SKS "paratrooper" with a shortened barrel and shoot 160gr GC cast very hard. they work perfectly.
