Using Nu-Finish in tumbler.

I drip some in --running the bottle in a circle around the inside of the unit.
While unit is running I use an old shotgun cleaning rod to stir the walnuts until all the clumps are gone.
Then I dump in the brass.
Works for me.

I add it to 4 or 5 cleaning patches and throw them at the same time I add the brass. Helps polish the brass and cuts down considerably on the amount of dust when emptying the tumbler. I replace the patches each time I add new brass. Also works with old Bounce sheets.
I put it on the dryer sheets at the same time I add the brass -

What clumps?

I put in the brass and media in no particular order. I squirt a ring of Maguires (cheaper than Nu-finish) around on top. Close it up, and turn it on overnight.

Never have seen a clump or had anything stick anywhere. :neener: I do need to poke a few primer holes, but that is all.

This thread helps a lot. I have been using the dryersheet trick, seems sortof "green" (is that a bad word here?)to me, you know, "reuse"...and then throw away! I just got some new media finally for the tumbler, and I have been wanting to try the nu finish trick, so I might have to head to an autoparts store soon!

My corn cob polish is a 40/60 mix of Nu-Finish and mineral spirits. Works like a charm. Cheap.

I keep a mixture in an old dish soap bottle. Shake up, pop open cap, squirt for a second or so into media, add brass whenever. Sometimes immediately, sometimes a minute later.

Thanks for your time and patience to help with my question.
You just don`t have to be a smart:cuss: about it.
Thanks Kenny
