Anyone familiar with the V. Bernardelli 25 cal. vest pocket pistol? I have had this little auto for probably 30 years without shooting it. I finally took it to the range and found that it had a broken firing pin. I was lucky enough to find one and am having trouble putting the auto back together. The problem is that now the small hourglass locking mechanism won't lock in. I don't see anything broken. Is there a trick to relocking the slide? The hourglass piece moves freely and the release button is still functioning. Any suggestions?

If no luck, PM a moderator and we can move this to Firearms Research. If that doesn't work, we can try the semi-auto forum. :)

How will it not lock in? If it won't go in far enough it is possible that the replacement firing pin is too long or the hole in it is not deep enough to allow the sping to compress.

If it goes in far enough but won't lock, make sure the spring for the lock is not missing.
