From Diane Feinstein of all people.

We can quote the staunchest opponent of the 2A and a dedicated gun banner (the woman who's on record wanting "Mr. and Mrs. America give them up".) that no laws on the books would have stopped the mass murder in Las Vegas. Not Chris Cox from the NRA, not THR, but Diane Feinstein on national television this weekend.

Below is the entire transcript so we understand the context and what her feelings still are.

She reiterated the very same point with Chuck Todd in yet another nationally televised interview.

    CHUCK TODD:

Let me ask you this. Give me the slate of laws, that if you could wave your wand and have enacted that could have prevented Vegas.

    SEN. DIANNE FEINSTEIN:

Well. I don't know. I would have to take a good look at that and really study it. I'm not sure there is any set of laws that could have prevented it. I do know this. That we have a Second Amendment. There's been difference over its interpretation by the court, the high court.

Feinstein has been a sitting US Senator for 25 years. If she hasn't studied the Second Amendment enough by now she never will figure it out. A failed politician by every measure.

I'm shocked that she's finally saying as much. It runs counter to her entire political career. That wily old lady has some ruse up her sleeve she hasn't shown yet. Color me skeptical

At 84 years old, Feinstein may have borderline dementia - if she were a normal human being, that is. :barf:

Being the acerbic Commie-fornia damocrat she is, we KNOW she is a lunatic.

Feinstein didn't say anything shocking to those who have followed her campaign against 2A. Her end game is to convince as many people as possible that incremental laws won't keep them safe, that only total confiscation will "guarantee" our safety.

That ever elusive promise of complete safety is of course another myth propagated by the Feinsteins of the world to expand their own power and control over the little people.

I would make the point that the money spent on policies and programs regulating hundreds of millions of guns and tens of millions of gun owners would be better spent on policies and programs aimed at criminals and crazies (who are a much smaller percentage of the population).

Ten years after the UK handgun ban, Home Office Report 298 on the market in illegal arms in Britain included interviews with prisoners who said they could acquire a gun from black market armourers within a week of release from jail. Dwell on that.
