Hi, I asked about web sites to determine gun value on a wwing forum and one of the members recommended THR so I hope you can help me.

I have a revolver I haven't fired in years so I would like to sell but no clue re value. I want to price it to sell quickly but not ridiculously low. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

- Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357 magnum
- Stainless Model KBN 36 with 6.5" barrel
- Purchased new in 1981 and s/n indicates 1981 manufacture
- 40 rounds fired: 12 .357 & 28 .38 special
- Excellent condition with no scratches my old eyes can see
- Original box, brochure and sales receipt if such things matter

I plan to sell to a local buyer and will include unused ammo: 38 .357, 22 .38 special and 2 10-packs of shotshell/snake poppers.

Thank you!

I found another thread suggesting gunbroker listings -- looks like $350-$400 range for these so I have a place to start.

With brand new ones selling for $500, I think you'd be looking at $425 being "all the money" and $350 being the "quick sale" price.

I agree with savit260.

I was looking to sell a NM Blackhawk 2 weeks ago & at $400 had no takers.
Reduced it to $375 & was able to trade it for the exact gun I wanted.
(a Cimmaron/Uberti 5 1/2" 45 Colt)
