I am considering selling what I consider a very nice rifle but am not sure what I could get out of it.

It is a Winchester Model 94 Lever Action with an octagon barrel chambered in .44 magnum. The butt of the stock is curved, not flat. It is a beautiful darker wood and has had maybe 200 rounds shot through it at most. The gun is maybe 5 or 6 years old.

Again, I haven't been able to find this rifle on gunbroker for sale...although I have seen similar Model 94s going from $600-800.

I think you're close, but $800 might be high. I'd guess $500-$700 range. I have a Winchester Trapper in .44 mag that I paid $400 for, but it's not the same model as yours. Mine is a carbine length. Yours is probably worth a little more if it's rifle length, oct. barrel, pre-safety, curved traditional buttplate, etc.

    Thanks for the response!

I think mine is carbine length too. It seems like a very short barrel to me. Although it does not indicate anywhere that it is the trapper model. It also has a safety on it.

I'm thinking of trying for $650.

We sold one similar to yours in 375. We got 490.00 and the 44 should probably bring 150-200 more for you.

Whoah kids! That's a very late model, tang safety model. These were the last of the 94's produced, when Winchester had made several changes and really started putting some effort into these guns. Not sure on value but $800 might be more accurate than y'all think. They are relatively rare guns.

I bought one the other day off gunbroker, havent even gotten it in yet. Saddle ring carbine. It's not as nice as yours, no octogon barrel, straight butt with cross bolt safety, but it appears flawless. Auction started at $1 with no reserve and I got it for $425.
