Just curious as to how much money people top out at spending for a handgun in their collection.

for just a handgun or the gun+ extras like, night sites,lasergrips,etc..
i just forked out 600 for a new springfield with sights

$549 for my Glock 17 is the most money I've ever spent on a gun. I paid much less for each of the S&W and Ruger revolvers, Marlin lever-action rifles, and Remington and Mossberg shotguns in my collection, all bought new (although some were purchased a number of years ago). I don't believe in spending a fortune on guns when good-quality top-name firearms can be bought at resonable prices.

Most I ever spent was $700 on a Kimber. in fact , thats the most I have ever spent on ANY firearm. Most others that I own are under $550.00.
Sure there are great custom and "race guns" out there in the $2000.00+ range , but they are certainly not for me. Some of these guns have "custom" features that I have absolutely no use for. I have shot some nice Les Baers, Ed Browns, etc, etc, Great guns!!!, but they were no more reliable or accurate than my Kimbers or Glocks. Just my personal opinion.

Sig P210 Kit

I put down some high end cash on this one for the simple fact that its my "GRAIL-GUN", and it came packed with the .22lr slide/barrel and mags, plus the barrel and spring for the .30luger caliber in its orginal case. I concidered it a steal at :what:3800.00 Since most go for that much by themselves.

I have two that both cost about $700. One is a Kimber 1911 and the other is a S&W 629 44mag. I won't spend more than that on a handgun unless my income were to increase drastically. There are far too many good handguns for $500-700 to merit a $1000-1500 purchase.

$3500 for a completely handbuilt M1911. If I hadn't sold my MP5 back in the early 1990s it'd be more than that.

I won't buy anything over 1000€ for now. Actually, I can only think of one firearm I want that costs more than 1000€...

The most I've spent so far was 630€ for a new Glock.

I'm a little leary of all these "how much are your guns worth" threads. Wonder what kind of database (shopping list?) someone is building...

To be fair, my most "expensive" handgun isn't my most valued. I have a gift gun, my Super Blackhawk that is worth far more to me. I would sell all of them off before it.
