Got my new VCD (Vaya Con Dios) grips in today. I have not had time to give them a full wringing out, but I do hav ea few first impressions to report.
First of all, David Barnes of VCD is very responsive and easy to deal with. I had a confirmation email on my order within about an hour of placing it, and I received another email the next morning to let me know the grips had shipped.
I was able to run to the range this afternoon and try them out. I only had time for about 150 rounds, but I am very impressed so far. The grips are very aggressive and do an excellent job of locking your grip in, but are not overly abrasive on your hands.
So far, I could not be more pleased. After today's performance these grips will be replacing the Alumagrips on my EDC, and I will probably find myself ordering a couple of more pair for other 1911s.
Overall, I consider these an excellent grip at an unbelievable price point.
