"Tales of the Gun: Super Guns of Today and Tomorrow.
An examination of guns that exist on the cutting edge of firearm technology. Fighting battles on computers decades before an actual shot is fired, these super guns may make the world safer...or more dangerous than ever before."

As a sort of public service, I'll add to this thread as other gun shows approach, but also in a shameless attempt to increase my post count.
;)

From the title, it looks like it's the one that's been shown several times. If so, the title is a bit of hyperbole, but the show is worth watching anyway.

I believe that the Colt "smartgun" segment is included, if you want something to cuss at.

Anyway, the first couple of times I saw it, I was disappointed, but maybe that's because I'm not that easily impressed with what they think are superguns.... :) YMMV

I have "GUN" as a key word in my TiVo.

I set this to record the other day.

You would be suprised at how many shows are failry gun related - the TiVo lets you find them all easily. Many are crap, but many are decent as well.

Was there TV before The History Channel?

Was there TV before the Remote Control? :)

I remember a time when there was ABC, NBC and CBS. To change the channel, you walked across the room and physically touched the TV. Color TV was the neatest thing since sliced bread, but too expensive.

Still isn't anything to watch on TV, but at least they got rid of the walking! Color

I was still in college finishing my B.A. in History when the History Channel first signed on. My brother was pissed they didn't have a matching "Philosophy Channel"! :neener:

"Tales" rocks, and ANYTHING with Lee Ermey is awesome! It would be fun to be his neighbor:

"Morning Gunny!"

"Morning maggot!"

You gotta love'im!!! :p

Was there TV before the Remote Control?

I remember being in bed sick as a kid and my dad brought home a "remote control" my granddad owned. It connected to the TV with a fairly large dia. cable; yes, a cable. It had one button that simply (or not) turned the channel dial. It was a big clunky thing that went CLICK! each button press.
Anyway, to keep this on topic, on the 10th there will be a show on Ganster Guns; real gansters such as Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd and of course, Bonnie and Clyde. I'll post a reminder later.

Everybody I know calls the History Channel the "Old Man's Channel", but maybe that got that from me. Love it! :D

Ahhhh, remote controls. Thousands of years of progress.

Doesn't get any better. ;)

My first TV remote control used sound waves. It was on the TV in the bedroom. When the telephone would ring, the TV would go on and off while changing channels. It wouldn't control the volume though. Waking up from a deep sleep to the sudden noises of the phone, the TV flipping channels, and whatever program was on blaring away wasn't very relaxing....
