With a scope mounted on the carry handle of an AR the cross hairs are 4 inches above the bore center. How would sight in be done to make it usable at more then one yardage?

A high scope mounting will make the rifle seem to shoot flatter on paper. If you zero the gun at 25 yds, the bullets will hit very high at 100 yds. For a 223 rem. , sight in 2" high at 200 yds. This will give hits to about 325 yds or more, depending on the load your using.
