Any recommendations for a scope for a Savage 10FP? Desired is something very simple: Maybe fixed power, just some basic cross hairs and high quality/simple adjustments. Use is for punching paper mostly at 100 and 200 yards with an occasional up to 500 when I visit some larger ranges. Optics quality should be good, but probably need not be the best on the planet.
Thanks.

Edited to add:
Nikon Monarch UCC 6x42 or Burris Black Diamond 6x50?

personally i think a scope is a very personal choice. however i'll give you an idea without foceing specific models onto you.

tasco, simmons, nicko stirling, bushnell with a mag of what ever your preverance is.

in seeing your edit i'd go for the black diamond as i hear they're great.

The Black Diamond 6-24s are over $600. That's a serious chunk of change! I thought you said you wanted something simple and not too expensive. :p That is a very bright scope though I'm not a big fan of Burris. At anywhere near that price range, I'd start looking at a lower power European scope. 30mm Kahles 6x or even 1.5-6x scopes can be found under that price line.
