My cousin and my father made it out to the woods last weekend for a deer/hog hunt out in East Texas. They only had a day and a half to hunt, but they managed to add some meat to the freezer and have a pretty nice time. The final tally for the weekend was one medium sized sow on the ground, one nice buck seen, another buck heard grunting, two does and five hogs passed on.
I wasn't able to make it out there with them on the trip, but I'll be there around Christmas. With any luck, I'll have a chance to fill a tag as well.
