Reading thru my loading manuals I do not find this VihtaVuori N110 has many listings.
As I usually use 2400 for 357MAG with standard primers I wonder if any THR members have experience using N110? Can standard primers be used? Are magnum primers mandatory like with Hodgdon H110?
Planning to use the N110 under 158JHPs

V-N110 is my Go-To 357Mag powder for cast.
It does not need mag primers.
It does not need to fill the case.

My StdLd is V-N110/15.0gr/CCI-500 primer/StarlineCase which pushes
a 160gr gas-checked Lyman#2 bullet at 1,784fps from a 20" barrel.

Your mileage may vary
Take Care.

I have loaded up a couple batches of starting loads for my rifle using N110, but have to wait for spring to proceed. During the process I noted that it is cleaner than H110, but doesn't meter quite as repeatably through my Hornady "Lock&Load" powder measure. I am confident I can work up a good load, but am hoping it will burn cleaner than H110.

The Lee manual 2nd edition (which uses powder company data) has several listings for N110 and other Vihtavuori powders. Lyman 49th has some too.

N110 fits VERY well between blue dot and H110/296. IME it preforms just about like 2400.

With jacketed bullets it is usually the cleanest loads I have in 357, 41, and 44 magnum. I stick with 2400 under cast slugs as a general rule though.
