Vortex Crossfire 2?

Anyone had the opportunity to inspect the Crossfire 2 from Vortex? I understand they updated it and fixed some issues from the first version, but I was wondering in general the level of quality of the scopes.

In particular, I'm looking at the 4-12x40AO model, intending to put it on my favorite .22lr rifle. I realized I've put more rounds through that little bolt-action than all my other rifles combined, and I need to think about a little better glass than the $60 Simmons that sits on it now. I've played with some Vortex glass, and I'm curious how the new version of their low-end line does.

Well, I guess nobody's seen one yet. I went ahead and placed an order for one, so I suppose I'll post a review of it once I have it in, and a follow up once I get around to testing it.

I would like your opinions as well. I have a couple comparable scopes, a Mueller APv and just ordered a sightron s1 hunter that I will compare up against my 4-12 viper. But I am not a scope connoisseur so it won't be a great review.

It's been a year since the start of this thread, any updates from crossfire 2 owners yet! I'm seriously considering one of these for my 10/22!
