Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but does anyone know if there is a blank fireing replica of this gun? Id love to have one to go with some of my civil war stuff but all I can find are non fireing wallhangers.

    thanks

Somebody ran an ad for a Volcanic clone in 22 LR, IIRC. I saw it in SGN or Gun Digest years ago. Sorry, that's all I remember.

there was a company selling copies about 10 years ago chambered in 22lr. almost a complete copy, except in caliber. They didnt stay in production very long. I heard once they can fetch the 1-2000 dollar range depending on condition.

Ive seens online auction companies show original volcanics in good to fair condition in the 9-1200 range. saw a cased one with 90 rounds of period ammo for about 3000.

There's an amazing gunsmith that had recreated the Volcanic using modern materials. He also designed the ammo for it by shortening the .40 S&W case to .550 so that they function in a firearm with such a short bolt throw.

I am so impressed with this build, I can't even find enough words.

The gun is not for sale and if it were I would think it'd cost at least $15,000 as the guy built his own tools and spent countless hours working on it.

Here are the videos (Fixed them for you):
