Unfortunately may of these sales are a prelude to them getting out of the firearms (many already have) and the ammo business all together.

My local WM had $9 on 405 gr SP 45/70 and some others on sale. I guess they still have the others but I got all the 45/70.
The lady at the gun counter (who actually does know what she's talking about) said they marked down the stuff that doesn't move.

Wow, good job, guys. I never get into these smokin' deals. I search out the many Walmarts in my area but they never seem to have anything left that I need on their clearance ammo when I get there.
I am really amazed at some of the prices they seem to mark it down to!

I picked up 9 oxes of Winchester Silvertip 30/06 180gr for $7 a box....bought all they had. 
I also ran into a Wally World that was getting out of the gun business when I was on vacation. It was a brand new Wally World. I asked where the guns were and a clerk told me that the new Wally Worlds don't have guns. So sad. I got to wondering if the reason was the clerks in the gun dept. might not be able to do clean paperwork on guns that were sold.
